The Stanaway House

Introduced to Mr. Stanaway by the PSU Department of Architecture director, I was given the opportunity to assist with digital and physical modeling for his planned residence.

Located on the hills above Lake Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, the design expands as one walks through the entry revealing a great room with a pitched roof framing the gorgeous view. Revit was utilized to create fully realized design iterations based off Stanaway’s beautiful hand sketch drawings in order to further the design.

Complying with the neighborhood craftsman style design overlay, the residence embraced the essence of the style, but challenged the notion by pushing a more contemporary feeling. Constructing a physical model of the dwelling helped approve the concept with design review.
